Finally saw 'Night Of The Living Dead'...

Not a huge Zombie fan or Horror fan. I'm testing a lot of VHS tapes that I've been buying and that I will be reselling on Ebay. It's a KTel Video 2 pack that has 'Dementia' as the other movie. I have to say that it was like watching a Twilight Zone Episode except with a little bit more gore. The ending was the irony that was rampant in Twilight Zone episodes. For a first time film it was good.

Now I have to watch/playgrade the 'Dementia' video. BTW, if anyone is a collector of the original 1st prints of movies and the packaging variations...message me. I may have some that you are looking for.

Watched Night of the Living Dead for the first time in years a few weeks back. Saw it at a local state park with a group of Boy Scouts. No, seriously!

The remake changed the ending --- (wont give away spoilers but it leaves the viewer more satisfied)

^My understanding is the remake uses the original intended ending.

The remake is a great film in its own right.

I think I watched it at 11 years old and it played on PBS or something along those lines. No commercials. I was trying to think of what movie I "stumbled" on that had as much impact as that movie did on me. Age of course had to be a factor. David Cronenberg' Squirm crosses my mind.

PBS played it this year on Halloween or the day before Halloween. Caught a brief glimpse at it before I changed channels. I think that's what made me finally sit and watch the tape.
