Yeah, this ep was pretty bad.
Now the group is "guns for hire". You just point at someone, and it's killing time. Did they even check if these people were really with Negan? They might have been another group.
And this whole "we need food" idea: how come they can't grow crops (they have a whole town), while Hilltop (which seems small) can?
Come one! Matt Damon can grow potatoes on Mars!!!!
Carol is going crazy with her little book. Daryl just hangs around, kills on demand.

And of course, It's a trap! Who would have thought?
Why are they even trusting this Jesus guy? He might be working for Negan, or for himself. Why did he cover his face while going in?

And Rick asks his people for a decision, but they've already accepted the food, brought it home. The deal was done already.

I wasn't convinced prior to this episode about who would fall victim to "Lucille", but now I'm certain that it's going to follow the comic pretty close. Bargains were made, and lines were crossed, and there will be a heavy price to pay.

Two major characters from the comics will follow their comic book fates.

Even though it happened just like in the comic, Carl's eye thing and their attempts to sneak past the walkers as they over-ran Alexandria was still a shocker, and I have no doubt that the upcoming body count won't disturb and shock me despite the inevitably outcome being forecast in the comic.

I'm convinced Maggie gets through this in one piece (at least physically), but given that their counterparts are so different or non-existent, the tension from the anything goes potential of Carol, Daryl, and Sasha's fates are equally excruciating.

Carol's waaaaay past her expiry date in the comics, but she's such a compelling and stronger and more interesting character on the show.
Morgan's storyline is evolving way past his usefulness in the comics as well. Particularly with Rick hooking up with Michonne instead of Andrea on TV.

I hope that in the next episode someone holds Daryl captive and washes his hair.

Was glad Carol didn't bite the bullet due to Maggie's selfishness! Her not wanting to be separated from Glenn again almost did them both in.

I must admit I was hoping Savior Malls would make it and join our group. She was hilarious!

The past few episodes seem like a direct attempt to kill the show.

Don't the writers know the old adage, if he audience don't sympathize with the heroes they will stop watching.

The show is literally becoming a video game.

BTW, the redhead gal in this past episode wins for hottest person on Walking Dead ...

Tell that to Walter White, Don Draper, Tony Soprano... a lot of great television recently has involved heroes you don't necessarily sympathize with, so long as they have interesting stories and good performances. And it can be good to watch characters who make mistakes. My only problem with "Walking Dead" is that they are making stupid and somewhat out-of-character decisions simply to advance the plot.

Carol's performance, with all the layers of what is a trick and what is the truth, was really well done. I loved watching the interplay between her and her captors. I thought it was more "Reservoir Dogs" than "video game".

Ah yes, Alicia Witt. I have had a crush on her since "Cybil".

When the zombie comes to eat her i'd tell him to get in line.

Did I just say that ?
