I am a big fan of the show and I find the more character-driven storylines more satisfying than the walker action. The idea of Darryl "saving" these people, just to have his good will betrayed in the end... it was a concept that had potential. I just don't think it was executed well. Maybe not as terrible as some found it, but certainly not their best.

Yeah, everything Fallen wrote is correct from structure, they just didn't execute it well
The best example is the truck. The story logic is Dwight used one of the Patty trucks to drag a fuel line and incinerate the forest. Truck 1 came from that fenced in dock yard. At some other point, Patty Truck 2 was driven into that area. Now, it appears it was Dwight's, and the walker behind the wheel was originally part of their crew, killed by a shot then left as they ran.
I can only piece that together by working events backwards - Neegan's team were setting ambushes, were close behind Dwight's team, the truck wasn't burnt, nor were the trees around surrounding it. The truck and trees couldn't have been there before the fire or else it would have blown up. That's explained by showing the Patty Truck 1 door, which presumably blew off when the first truck exploded.
And it did not help reusing the Wolves cannery shipping docks for the oil docks. All they did was shoot from a different angle and reverse images. But it still looked like the same yard. I was waiting for Darryl to say "oh crap" but then I saw the different logos. And then someone was supposed to be there...I guess...but something happened. Is that's supposed to be a side effect from the quarry herd?
What's happened is they wrote one giant story and then divided the episodes by events instead of chronology. I would say a supercut that times events together would clear things up, but like Rick surviving the RV, they have some big omissions and a supercut would make that real obvious.Comment

I liked last episode I think it was pretty decent overall slow sure but still decent.
They have had worse for sure.
My biggest personal gripe is not showing ricks escape?
Unless I missed something?“When you say “It’s hard”, it actually means “I’m not strong enough to fight for it”. Stop saying its hard. Think positive!”Comment

I like the season so far, but true, this episode was all filler. The speech Sasha gave to Abraham was pretty confusing. They just threw some stuff together.
Diabetic girl getting bitten was lame.
I prefer Walker-based stories, so I'm kind of dreading another human vs human conflict..

So, who was asking for help at the end of the episode? My first thought was that it was Glenn, but later I thought maybe it was the guy who stole Daryl's cycle. I didn't go back and check. Did Daryl have his radio when the couple took off on the bike or was it in the bag? If it was Glenn and he somehow got inside the dumpster, they now have the means to rescue him. Hose down the crowd with gas and set a blaze, hoping that Glenn doesn't get too fried inside.Comment

I could not agree more. This show's weakness is some of the preachy monologues and wordy speeches that are meant to be dramatic.Comment

I guess I got my question answered. Norman Reedus is saying that the voice on the radio "definitely did not belong to Glenn". You can look it up on Yahoo. I can't post the link as the Museum filter is **** out one of the words.Last edited by megoapesnut; Nov 17, '15, 1:37 PM.Comment
