For what it's worth, if the original Walking Dead show is following the comic, then it means they are out of that phase and have settled into Alexandria for a good long time, and their world in fact expands with Hilltop and Negan's gang this season, and we've seen The Kingdom in previews.

There is actually a one-shot comic released this year by BK Vaughn that reveals the fate of Rick's brother in Europe. I'd love to see THAT turned into a show.

The biggest problem with this show is it features a group of characters that virtually no one cares about. The zombies could trap every single character in this show, rip them to shreds, and no one would care. "The Walking Dead" has always had a rich group of characters that you could get invested in -- you cared about them (at least some of them). Most of the characters in this amateur spin-off are just simply annoying. In addition, the show is horribly boring as well.
