    R.I.P Betsy Palmer

Wow, one of my all-time favorite films (the original Friday the 13th), just lost its biggest star: Betsy Palmer! I always liked her. Yes, the role called for very little. Yet, she was, in her own right, a darn good actress! She played Mrs. Vorhees to the hilt! It was a campy film and she played the part for all it was worth! Even though she admitted she only took the role (she got paid $10,000) so she could buy a new car, she still played the part with a lot of zest!

I just received her autograph through the mail not more than three weeks ago! She signed two 8x10 "Friday the 13th" photos. Strange how life works huh? Now she is gone. I am just glad I got her when I did...........

Yeah, bummer. She was a good sport to do those films, and really gave it her all.

I met her once, and she was super sweet. Was sad news today.

Really liked her after seeing her in the two documentaries they interviewed her for. One was about the Friday the 13th franchise, the other was about slasher movies in general.

Neca has an 8" retro figure of her and young Jason coming up, right?
