    So sick of vampires!

Started watching The Strain, and even though I'm a big Del Toro fan, I just can't stand any more vampires.
If it were up to me, I'd pass a law that vampires need to remain buried for at least 10 years until they are allowed to resurface.

No more vampires until 2025! Who's with me?

^I say bring on vampires...and please get rid of all the zombies!!! Zombies are definitely more over-exposed, IMHO.

Totally! I'm beyond tired of the Zombie fad.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

^Man, that is one fun train wreck though. I feel bad for Lon Chaney, Jr. in that film, though. I hate seeing him like that.

It all depends on your definition of vampires. By my own criteria, THESE are Vampires:

                However, THESE are NOT Vampires:

So no, by my definition, I am NOT sick of Vampires. I am sick of those other guys.

I loved the horror vampires from Blade 2 so I dig the Strain so far. I think there is a certain way of filming them that makes them scary. There has to be some build-up for the scare. Same with the zombies. I thought I was becoming desensitized to the fear of zombies, but I watched some 17 minutes of the video game, "Dying Light", on Youtube and it's back.

Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter book was way better than the movie. I watched Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies on SyFy recently and the twist at the end was the only redeeming part of the movie.

There needs to be more movies made with were creatures, mummies and gill men than vampires and zombies.

Way to many Vampire/Zombie movies these days, how about George Washington
Werewolf hunter as the next Presidents meet Monsters flick?

I wasn't talking about zombies at all, so I'm not comparing them or how much screen time they get.

Don't think I've ever wah-wahed before, I learn something everyday...

The only thing that annoys me more than soft-core vampires and legions of Romero zombies are werewolves that are so powerful they whup anything.

To my mind, a good vampire should be able to take out werewolves, zombies, and mummies. And also swamp monsters, mad scientists, and disfigured terrorists.
