Godzilla's Revenge. Toys in the actual movie.

Not sure if I got the movie name right, but here goes....Figured this is as good a site to ask.

In the moviem there is a young kid that is bullied by older ones, in parallel with Minya's problems.
Early in the movie the kid is seen playing with Godzilla toys. When this movie came out, I was probably the same age. I was always curious if the toys were actually made and sold, or made for the movie?


Long shot here, but maybe someone knows what I'm referring to and has an answer.

Yeah, they're real. It's Bulmark figures, IIRC.

Yep, real Bullmark soft vinyl figures, sold everywhere in Japan at the time. I'm sure that their appearance in the film, showing that Japanese kids had cool Godzilla toys like this, haunted many young Godzilla fans here in North America back in the day. I know that I was sure jealous! They are really pricey now though!

Yeah, Godzilla toys were rare then. I think the only "toy" I had was the Aurora model kit....which was not really a toy.
I do remember a fellow "kid" I was talking to at the movie telling me that there were stores in the USA that had them. I sooo wanted them......then.
