    Monster Models on the Loose!

Lock up your children! My son and I took our Aurora reissue model kits out for a Halloween photo. Nothing fancy, but I thought it made for a fun pic.

We finished up the Wolfman just a week or so ago. We have The Creature next, thanks to our own Rob (Godzilla).

They look fantastic! Terrific paint jobs. It's also heart warming to realize those kits have been entertaining kids since the 60s. Wish more classic toys were kept in production so new generations of kids could enjoy them.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Those are fantastic Chris! I think it's great you and your son get to share the fun of building and painting those together.
I still remember my first monster model...it was the Monogram reissue of the Mummy, and my dad helped me paint it with those old glossy enamels at the kitchen table.
You guys did a great job...thanks for sharing!

Thanks guys! It's been a lot of fun. We've went in our own direction a few times (the green faced Kharis, for instance), but we're both big fans of the Universal monsters, so this is a neat way for us to share that.

Brian actually gave me the idea, posting pics of the models him and his kids have worked on. It's definitely something the kids will remember doing with their old man.

^Great idea! That would be a good avenue to go when the cheap monster models dry up. Post some pics...I'd love to see them!

Heh, here they are, as you can see Frankenstein had been doing some dry wall work earlier in the day. My daughter's patient take on the wolfman impressed me, my son rushes everything (he inherited that) so the Creature was perfect for him.
