Hmmmm....

If they do it as an actual horror movie I'm in. (I don't think everything nerdly HAS to be PG.) The ad looks kinda creepy, but there's a vein of the ol' "plausible deniability" that runs through it.

On the up-side, that actually LOOKS like Godzilla. He's a bit chubby, kinda like the new Enterprise; but I don't have to guess who that is.

I think it has a chance to be pretty good! Godzilla looked a little odd, mostly the head, but at this point I'm going to see it.

Thanks for the link Tom,I too liked the narrative,gave it a abit of a Richard Burton type vibe from Jeff Waynes War of the Worlds.I wonder who the multi-arm Kaiju was?

I hope this film will be better than the 1998 version,it looks promising though but I am still a big fan of the original flicks.

Hard to say this without sounding racist but a Godzilla movie without Japanese actors just wont be kosher and feel right.

For myself, the key to selling Godzilla is to treat him like a force of nature that comes out of nowhere at night, wrecks havoc and disappears back into the darkness of the ocean. There shouldn't be any sunny days when this creature arrives. It's all about building atmosphere and suspense. Godzilla should be horrific in treatment and less about trying to sell him as a spectacle in full view. It should be like Jaws drank steroids and grew legs along with some really bad indigestion that has it's own terminal side effects.

Trailer released tomorrow. More I see, more I think everything is going to pale in comparison next summer. Then again, I was all-in for Pac Rim.
