    John Carpenter's Prince of Darkness

Picked this up on Blu-ray and watched it last night. I love this movie. It might not be the scariest movie I ever watched, but it is most certainly the creepiest. And it has THE creepiest ending of any movie I ever watched. I actually appreciated it more in last night's viewing, even though I have seen it 4 or 5 times. And Carpenter was most certainly the man for horror in the late 70's and 80's. 4 of my top 5 favorite horror movies are his.

I haven't seen it since it hit VHS, but MAN, it scared the beejeezus out of me as a kid. One of the first horror films I watched by myself, without my usual buddies. I was disturbed for a good month after seeing it. Of course I was only 13 or so.

I love the mix of science and religion in the film. It may have its issues, but I always loved it!

        Very creepy movie.
I love anything from Carpenter, I wish we'd see more of him.

Agree with all of the above. The movie is so well paced and eerie.

And yeah, Carpenter's high points make me wish he would find his muse again.

I loved this movie but haven't seen it in years. Need to go find me a copy and rewatch it.
