    Carrie remake

They've been running the crap out ads for this on MTV. Do we really need one?

        Hmmmm....

I'm lukewarm on this one. We really don't need a remake. Other than the fashions the original holds up quite well. This one looks kinda watered down. Carrie herself is cute and likable from the beginning, I suspect the religious aspects will be played WAY down, and it looks like they pour tar over her.... not blood.

On the contrary, I bet they will really push the religious loon angle in this because many movies make fun of religious people these days. Oh, they digitally darkened up the blood for the trailer to pass for the MPAA. The movie itself will have it look red. Chloe Grace Moratz is a great actress but I bet the movie will fall way short anyway.

OhfuhPete'ssake! Why can't they leave things ALONE???

The first movie was fine the way it was! Why do they always need to do freaking remakes???

Is this a remake of the original or a remake of the remake????
Either way I'm going to pass this one.

I wish people would realize that remakes of Stephen King's stuff always fail.

It's the downside of nostalgia: you'll ALWAYS get more people with an appropriated name than with something new.

I'll check it out mostly due to Julianne Moore and Chloe Moretz, since those two are great actresses and I'd love to see them play off each other.

Nothing, however, will replace the original film with Sissy Spacek.

No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life."

Heard that, Jaida! Piper Laurie rules.

Piper Laurie scared the crud out of me, and still does. She is disturbingly convincing as a zealot.

I actually enjoyed that one too. The part where she was walking through town and things exploding around her was really well done.

Of course now we'll get the sequel to The Shining now that King has wrote the book.
