Is this Godzilla 2014? Spoiler alert for those who don't want to see...

It seems there might have been a slip up at the Comic Con, because Legendary Pictures has pulled the photos from Superhero Hype. But other articles are showing the pics. Here's one in a poster display and another in model form which pretty much looks the same. What do you think? For me, it look alot better than the last American attempt.

Not bad, though he looks like he's just swallowing a tank...

I'm not a huge Godzilla fan by any means, and I look at that and say "Godzilla". So I say "mission accomplished".

The heat/flame welling up in his gut and throat is kind of a neat touch. Similar to how Man of Steel showed heat building up in the eye sockets when heat vision was kicking in.

If that's how he's going to look in the movie, then I'm okay with it.
It's still immediately recognizable as Godzilla.

And it's inestimably better than that aberrant Devlin-Emmerich travesty.

              Awww... it's a chunky Godzilla.

I wanna hug it, not run away from it.

It's the bottom model. The top one is concept art. A poster from a licensing expo in Brazil shows a closeup of the CG final version.

They tucked the model into the Godzilla Experience at SDCC to see who would know, and when the pictures first starting hitting the net, I instantly did not recognize that from any previous film, and I'm one of those cats who has several import books just based on the suit designs. The shots where you can see the face closeup are fantastic. The final CG design is a little too mo-cap human for me.

I like the thickness of the neck. It shows they're trying to incorporate a more sea animal approach. It feels like a Kirby Silver Age monster design.

I had mentioned this in the other Godzilla thread, but if he really is that bottom model he more so resembles a fat bloated crocodile. Slim him up by 100 pounds and I say you then really have something

Anyone have the image Legendary has removed saved? If so, I'd love to see it. PM please?

The biggest thing I don't like is he doesn't have a pronounced head.

Ziller's head has been getting tinier and tinier since '85

Today, it's finally just all neck

^ Blame Tri-Star Godzilla. It was all head since they wanted it to resemble a dinosaur. It ended up looking nothing like Godzilla.

The original suits never had giant bulbs but they have gotten smaller, which was more so the man-in-suit could have better control over head movements.
