    Solomon Kane the movie

I was shock this week when walking down the dvd isle at Wal-Mart. They were resetting there shelves for the new releases and I was shocked to see the Solomon Kane movie from 2009 was on the shelf! It was not in the new release, so it was just mixed in with the other releases. I watched this when it was supposed to show up at the theaters thanks to my media connections. I rather enjoyed it and wanted to see it at the theaters but that never happened. I did get to watch it on my big screen tv so it was just as good. With the release of the backdrop of the ReMego figure it is a movie to check out.

It's a good movie; takes a few liberties with the character, but it's one of the better REH adaptations.

Saw it about 3 years ago in the cinema, had the Blu ray for almost as long.

Glad it finally got a US release, because if it sells well, they might be able to do the sequels they talked about.

I started to comment in the new REH figure thread but didn't post it because I didn't think anybody would care. I thought the movie was awesome!

Watched it earlier at my brother's, streamed from Amazon. I liked it quite a bit. It's too bad it didn't do better (it made like $19M and cost $40M), because Purefoy was good in the role and it would have been nice to have gotten a sequel with more time spent in Africa.

If it were released in America it would have made its money back.

I agree completely. With the lack of success of the last Conan film and the way John Carter was handled, it seems like anything I get truly excited about is doomed. I try not to even think about an Elric movie or an adaption of China Miéville's The Scar for fear of jinxing them before they are ever made.

I watched it today after reading what you all said about it. it wasn't bad. I thought the cast was pretty good for a b-movie

Caught this tonight on Netflix and really enjoyed it! Although they altered the character a bit from the books, it was really well done. I would certainly welcome a sequel to it.

Solomon Kane a film from way way back in 2009 has now joined the rank within Netflix.

Very nice movie, though the demon in the end reminded me of balrog with the face of megatron hehe......
