I enjoyed the pilot and how they tied Crane with the Horseman.

Crane's a big departure from Irving's original story, but an American Revolutionary War spy awakened from the dead in the future is so much more fun than a fraidy-cat school teacher. Witches seem to be the "it girls" of the season with American Horror Story also focusing on them, but I'm intrigued. Linking the Revolution to Biblical prophecy is interesting, to me, even if both are played fast and loose. The best part is the chemistry between Crane and the Lieutenant works.
Not sure how the show can make the Headless Horseman interesting week after week. There are only so many types of automatic weapons for him to use.Comment

Liked the first episode, looks like it's going to involve a lot more supernatural villains aside from the Horseman. Hoping it doesn't become too bogged down in conspiracy though, I get tired fast of the " is he on our side or not" stuff.
Crane also takes to the modern world too easily, but maybe that's part of the spell that put him here.Comment

Well I liked it better than I thought I would. I for one will be watching the rest of the season to see how it plays out. What I am worried about is the new Dracula tv series.Visit my wiki site:

watched it on Fox now, well done show. Too bad Clancy Brown didn't make it thru the show. You must try to generate happiness within yourself. If you aren't happy in one place, chances are you won't be happy anyplace. -Ernie BanksComment

I've just seen the first two episodes and I'm pretty well hooked. I have always said I don't like horror because I grew up in the era of Freddy, Jason, and other extreme gore movies that turned me off of anything with the "horror" label on it. I've just recently started to discover older, better horror, like the Classic Universal Monsters. Sleepy Hollow reminds me of those. It's about the story and characters who are set in a spooky atmosphere with classic fantasy tropes.
I thought the automatic weapons was a perfect way to amp up the Headless Horseman in the first ep. I like that they seem to be holding him back for special occasions.
The 'sandman' (whatever his native American name is) was awesome. I loved how they tied all those mythologies together. The sand flowing out of his eyes was a great touch.Comment
