The book was fantastic. From what I have seen of the movie previews the only similarity to the book is the name, which is too bad. Still looks like a fun movie.

I just could not get past the completely cartoon-ish zombies running over the bus and the other shot of them forming a wall.

Kind of reminds you of the ghosts from Return of the King.

It might be pretty cool, but the trailer got me wondering when zombies stopped being animated corpses and started being superhuman cannibals. 28 Days Later, maybe?

As something of a zombie aficianado, I'm really looking forward to this movie and what looks to be a unique approach to the undead. I've heard that they have kind of a hive-mind which would explain they're almost insect like behavior. I've also read they are less interested in feasting on human flesh or entrails and more interested in procreation by means of biting folks. Sounds pretty intriguing so far...
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

Argh! Yes, exactly! Good call, and that is really what it looks like. Oh well, I hope the movie is decent (fingers crossed)

Those were that parts I liked, 'cos those were the parts I haven't seen a zillion times before. It's damned tough to come up with a new take on the whole zombie thing....

but the whole point being is that the book really did not come up with a new take on anything, it was more so due to the way it was laid out. They probably should be calling the film something else if (from what I gather) is going to be totally different than the book. At any rate if it did not look so cartoon-ish (which could have been done) I might take more of an interest in seeing it.
