I finally got around to seeing the last Spiderman movie, and it struck me how much the plot was that of "Blood Waters of Dr Z." Even the Lizard's lab scene, with the inner monologue seemed reminiscent for some reason.... (If only he had the giant Wheel of Mayhem.) Not that I think this was intentional.... of all the movies to rip.... but it still made me giggle.

I was waiting for "Revenge On My Friends."

It's also the plot of every other Super Friends cartoon. ASM didn't have much of a story, neither did ZAAT, that's the connection.

It's a standard plot, but something really struck me as similar. The dark, disshelved lab? The scribble board with all the notes and the wheel of misfortune? I dunno. I do believe that it's a case of parallel development.... or parallel undevelopment? But it still tickled the juvenile side of me.
