Bela Jr. & Dad in "The Devil Bat"--eerie

I'm watching Bela Sr. just now on TCM in "The Devil Bat" (1941); Bela would have been nearly 60 when he made it.

Last week in the intro to the TCM Frankenstein double-feature, I saw Bela, Jr. at about age 74. He appeared slightly frail, or at least showing his age.

It's astonishing how much he's come to resemble his famous father.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

I thought the same thing. Jr. looked much more frail than in the documentary interviews on the Legacy DVD sets. And he looked even more like his father.

I could be wrong but I thought read somewhere he's had health issues in the last few years.

If he dyed his hair black, he would look incredibly close. Too bad the estate is so tough to work with when it comes to allowing his father's likeness to product.

The Devil Bat is one of my favorite Lugosi movies.
