We get Dracula and Frankenstein here, my time choices make it hard. It's like the theater knows when my wife is busy doing something.

I'm seeing it in Akron (Montrose Regal) this Wednesday--my b-day present to myself lol. Very excited, as I've never seen vintage horror on the big screen.

I'm a bit surprised that Bela Jr. is featured in the pre-film doc, since his father isn't in the first two films. Maybe, though, that's the point: that Lugosi initially turned down the Monster role.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

Got to see Dracula/Frankenstein on the big screen yesterday and it was great. Both films looked fantastic (now I really gotta get those Blu-rays) and it was a treat to see them in a venue like that. I wish we had Bride showing up here though, that's my favourite of the bunch.

I had to give the screening a pass because the toy show (and the comic store side trip) made me late. If it was Frankenstein/Bride I wouldn't have missed it for the world but Dracula was really tough for me to get excited about. I've fallen asleep during it more times than I care to mention.

On the way home, I bought the Dracula Legacy set as a consolation prize. It was new record, I dozed off during the credits and woke up during the end credits. I told my wife I'm going to watch Dracula before bed each night. I feel great!

I'll be seeing Frankenstein and the Bride in Harrisburg, PA tomorrow night. I love these classic movie screenings. I didn't make it when our local Regal showed The Birds, but before that we got to see Casablanca, and it was great on the big screen, even though I'd seen it a billion times before.

Frankenstein and the Bride looked great on the big screen. Topped of the screening by finding the Creature and the Bride at the Toys R Us in Tulsa.

We had a great time watching these two last night. I noticed a lot of things I never had before. The clarity of picture and sound was stunning.

Just the tonal switch between the two movies was somehow even more noticeable on the big screen. The audience I was with seemed to enjoy themselves a lot more with "Bride", due to it's black humor.

Best time I've had at the movies in a long time!

I had a great time, except for the three jerkwads behind us who kept making loud comments, no matter who asked them to stop. They must have forgotten Rifftrax wasn't until the following night.
