The Walking Dead. Just how annoying is Carl?

Why are kids in stories always a PITA? (pain in the ***)
Well, that's how I call them anyway...

That kid just can't stay put, and he gets people killed on a regular basis.
Many interesting characters are dead (Shane, Dale), and that kid just keeps messing everything up. He's the Wesley Crusher of zombie land...

I'm glad Shane is gone. Dale will be missed.

You know, there is no way to know how a kid would act in these circumstances, especially one as explorative and inquisitive as Carl.

I do like him MUCH better in the comic book though.

If they intend audiences to not like Lori, that ploy is definitely working.

Is the negative on Carl just from the TV show? I started walking dead with the comic, and I think Carl is a pretty strong character. So much so that I think he will replace Rick as the lead at some point. As for Lori, if you read the comic you know what happens.

Lori has been annoying from day one. I feel that she's the main reason that Shane lost his marbles. She messed that guy's head up so badly. I always felt that Shane could have come back from the Dark Side, if Lori hadn't acted like she did.

Oddly enough, Daryl's my favorite...

The least annoying person is the black guy (forgot his name), but I think that's because he has the least screentime

i think the hate on carl is just for the tv show, not the comic. his character is very different in the comic.
t-bone or t-dog, whatever, is the black guy but he is usually just in the background. i figure he is a sure bet to be killed off early in S3 since they reduced his character so much in S2

It must be a very challenging part for the actor.

To be honest, Rick Grimes isn't my favorite, either. He is so busy "saving everybody", that it usually gets people killed. Whenever he needs walker bait, he uses Glenn. Not my idea of somebody who has your back.

I saw the actor that plays Carl signing autographs at a comic show. He seemed like a really nice kid and was all smiles. I wonder how he feels about all the hate that Carl gets on the internet.
