I have fond memories of staying up late on friday nights with my Mom watching Godzilla, Universal Monsters, Hammer and B horror movies. We had to watch them sitting close to the TV with the volume very low so not to disturb my Dad who wasn't into those kinds of movies.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Just read a review of the BD, and it's supposed to look pretty decent, if not great (not surprising considering the condition of the source material they probably had to work with). One thing the review mentioned that piqued my interest was that the monsters were designed by Jack Davis, and Harvey Kurtzman helped with the script. That's pretty cool.

^Yep. I think that's one reason it's called "MAD" Monster Party. Mad was a big draw back then, and any alum from there meant quality stuff.
