No Way to Treat Big Frankie

This is a clip from a 1970 Horror film called "Flick" or "Frankenstein on Campus"

I haven't seen it in years but rereading the description, it was filmed in Agincourt (not far from where I live) so I might check it out again.

This scene demonstrates why Aurora Big Frankie kits are so hard to find:

Well that explains what happen to one of them.
Very interesting that this Big Frankie was motorized. I often wonder if BF was meant to be a motorized toy and Aurora (for whatever reason) decided to cut costs and issue him as a model kit. Could this one have been an early Aurora prototype?

Aurora Canada HQ wasn't far from where they filmed.

Oddly enough I work with a former Aurora employee, he designed for them. However, his passion is slot cars and the monster models were like a "Oh yeah" to him.

I thought I read on the UMA board that Big Frankie WAS meant to be motorized?

I like how BF's arms move up and down as he walks.
Prototype or custom, how much you think that motorized Aurora Big Frankie would be worth today?

Me too and I've seen it more than once. It used to run a lot on the Drive In channel (RIP), which was a bastion to Canucksploitation.

The movie has a "twist ending" but I can't remember it. Also, it's filmed heavily at U of T campus, which is fun for anybody who lives here.
