The Raid- Excellent Indonesian action movie

Saw this the other night and really enjoyed it! Lots of epic hand-to-hand fighting, plus gun and knife play.

It even satisfied the gorehound in me, it's pretty gruesome (that's why I've posted this here) plus a lot of the stunts and fights in the film looked like they really hurt... there were on-set doctors and massage therapists in the credits.



It took me back to when I first saw John Woo's Hard Boiled, which this film is a definite tip of the hat to.

I want to see this movie so hard.
I'm really excited for it. Sadly it's not playing locally near me, but I'm glad it got a somewhat theatrical release, instead of being just direct-to-import-dvd.
Still, I wish it was playing near me.

I was really excited that it got a big screen release here and ran out to see it immediately!
