I picked up Funhouse a few months ago at Walmart in the $5.00 bin. it was bundled with 3 other movies. I actually really like that film! it has a nice charm to it.

I can remember the killer was on the cover of Fangoria #10, or some other early issue that I had as a youngster. Never found it on VHS and it was on cable last year. Yikes, nowhere near as cool as I remember it from the magazine. Still a great example of fun, 80's horror.Comment

Got a couple of Amazon gift cards for Christmas so I splurged and bought the Blu-ray. You don't even wanna know what I paid for it. I think I might have bought one of, if not the last Blu-ray available for sale on the planet. At least based on the searching I did for it. Shows how much I like this movie.Comment

good move on your part-- Not sure how much of that title hit the street and how much of that stock was destroyed in the fire, but it is no longer easy to get. Glad you got it while you could"What motivated him to throw a puppy at the Hells Angels is currently unclear,"

...and it sure looks awesome on bluray. I am very happy with the picture quality upgrade. And it came with a movie poster and several artwork sleeves you can switch out on the case.Comment

My disc just came in yesterday and I do have to agree with you. I also had no issues in playing anything (evidently some Sony users could play the film but not the extras). Not sure if Arrow made more or if more were found, but it was reasonably priced when I bought it (20$) as compared to a short time before this and the prices were all 60 and up"What motivated him to throw a puppy at the Hells Angels is currently unclear,"

Yep, there it is on Amazon and from multiple sellers. Where were they back in Jan? I wouldn't have splurged for it at the price I had paid if I had known that! I really thought I would never be able to find it. Yeah, well.Comment

me neither, I thought it was out of print at that point (several postings on different forums also pointed to this), Your guess is as good as mine"What motivated him to throw a puppy at the Hells Angels is currently unclear,"

Nah, the Blu-ray is the way to go if you are a fan of the movie. The picture quality is a really nice improvement over the DVD. I watch this movie once a year and I appreciate the better picture.Comment

Usually Arrow UK would do both a dvd and Blu for whatever film. In the case of the Funhouse it was bluray only"What motivated him to throw a puppy at the Hells Angels is currently unclear,"

Most people do not have an all region Blu player and I am sure the price could easily jump to get an all region version for that reasonLast edited by mazinz; Jul 14, '12, 2:40 AM."What motivated him to throw a puppy at the Hells Angels is currently unclear,"

Aha, yeah my copy was the region free version
It might not have all the same extras. I do not think Shout had the rights to acquire the commentary tracks on it. From what I was reading on the AVMforums about it, both will have different extras, so the Arrow disc is still worth keeping. I also found out why the price sky rocketed for a bit, the riots did play a role wit hthe supply and demand chain, but also--- the original initial pressing was a region free Blu. The next batch they pressed up were locked for Region B. This was also verified since my copy is region b locked while a friends copy (he bought when the disc was new) is all region.
