I think I saw an early 90s comedy/horror sequel to that - with Tony Roberts and the guy Bobcat hung out with in One Crazy Summer.

Maybe I'm getting confused though - is this that movie?

Weird - I guess this IS that movie. It's odd they didn't put Tony Roberts in the trailer so at least someone known would be in there.

I remember being confused by this movie - is it really the sequel to another film, or is that a weird thing they just did with the backstory?

code red is planning to re-release the film on dvd soon. Whether it is just a port of the older Elite dvd or a totally new transfer is not known yet--
