loved the Micheal Jackson love theme from Ben.

My parents took me along with them to the drive-in to see Willard. I must have been about five. I'd kind of like to see the original sometime, since I only have vague memories of it.

I have both the movies on tape. I saw Willard twice when I was 5. The first time, I went w/ my older sister and her boyfriend to see it. She was 17, and scared to death of this movie. Every time the rats would come on, she'd bury her head in her boyfriend's jacket, and I'm the 5 year old voice of reason saying "It's only a movie." The second time was w/ my family, (sans my sister) at the drive-in. My brother teased her mercilessly before we left. I didn't see Ben until my teens. I did get a chance to meet Bruce Davison (Willard), and he was so sweet to me. I told him I was a fan and he gave me a hug and kiss on the cheek.

Awww, a boy and his rat.
There was a more recent version of Willard with Crispin Glover. Pretty good casting!

Funny thing, Harrison Ford's sons are called...Willard...and Ben.

When a reporter mentioned it in an interview, Ford got rather annoyed..."So you think I named my kids after rats?!"
