What memories this thread has brought back. Every Saturday morning it was Bud and Lou and Tarzan movies oh and wrestling. -
Oh man I've never watched that...just looked at some hd clips on YouTube , brilliant. We had a comedy duo in the 80's called , cannon and ball and they clearly have based themselves on bud and Lou....Leave a comment:

It's a great movie. Wonderful balance of comedy and horror.
THIS tv has been airing it. It was on today for uh, Thanksgiving.Leave a comment:

Hear that, KW?That is correct. It was technically the last film using an existing storyline with the Universal monsters. They also wrote some novels as a continuation of that film back in the 90's, for those who wonder what might have happened. They're actually pretty good too. I think I have three of them.

No, Because of the success of the movie, Universal had them make
Abbott and Costello Meet the Invisible Man
Abbott and Costello Meet Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde
Abbott and Costello Meet the Mummy
When these movies proved very succesful it lead to Creature from the Black Lagoon being made......that proved to be a huge hit for them Universal repacked the Old monster movies as Double features which eventually lead to them being played on late night TV in the 60's and 70's......Leave a comment:

I thought it was the opposite...it was the end of the golden age of the monster mash and the classic Universal monster cycle.
I love the movie...especially seeing the Wolf Man chasing a scared Dracula...my kinda scene...punkass vampires...
