Was watching this clip from Conan a few months ago.

The sad part is this is really true in many cases including when my family arrived on Elis Island in the 1900's

To true, my family came here from poland and the family name went from Naginski to Nagi (in polish nagi = naked, lol) then we swapped out the i for a y
