    Halloween at my house

Like most of you, Halloween is a big deal at the Franklin family household. We decorate for Halloween ALMOST as much as we do for Christmas.

I usually have some fun with my Megos. This year the Hall of Justice was invaded by Monsters! Even the Man of Steel is left helpless!!!

It's always a big decision every year on what costumes we are going to wear, especially with me and my son. After much debate, and thanks to the constant stream of classic monster movies I expose him to, he chose Dracula, while I went with the Frankenstein Monster. We tend to cobble our costumes together, with some bought items and some found items. I made my Frank head piece from a 12-pack Sprite carton, Crayola model magic and an old wig.

We went to a Halloween party tonight and took some pics.

Frank and Drac hang out in front of our 12" tall inflatable Frank. I love that thing!!! Every day my kids get to turn it on and say "It's alive!" Even my 3-year old daughter says it!

At the party with Dani as a monkey, and Cindy as her second banana:

The monsters battle it out in anticipation of Andrew's teenage years:

We'll wear these costumes again Monday night for Trick or Treat. It's a lot of fun to growl at people, Karloff style!

    Great costumes and decorations.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

      *in Frankenstein speak* "Uhhhhhhhh....costumes GOOOOOD!"
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

Thanks y'all! I'm really enjoying talking in Frankenstein speak more than I should. Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire" came on the radio on the way to the party, and I had some fun moaning in fear during that song.

          Very creative.
Too many toys. Not enough space!

I picked it up last year at Lowes after Halloween for like $12 I think. He's 12 feet tall! I think he was originally $80 or something like that.

That blowup Franky would be great for Monster Cafe Saltillo! We are having a banner year for our third year open! All the ghouls in Mexico are here on this Saturday night. What fun!
