Even though the Munsters are true monsters, they aren't nearly as creepy and devious as the Addams. I'd say the Addams would win. My childhood take with the Addams was mostly normal people who act like monsters, and the Munsters were monsters who act normal.

Any child who names her doll Marie Antoinette, and actually cuts its head off to that end is a very creepy child.

Didn't Pugsley invent a disintegrator ray once and show it off to a pair of Russian spies?

Uncle Fester was a scream, I thought, sometimes literally. To this day, I'd like to know how they lit up that light bulb when it was in his mouth.

Morticia and Gomez had a very passionate relationship; he was all over her just for speaking French! Or when she called him 'bubele'. Take your pick.

I liked them better than the Munsters, that's for sure.

At least the Addamses never remarked on other people for their looks, whereas poor Marilyn Munster was regarded as a freak by her own flesh and blood because she came out human. And she was so convinced of it herself, it never occurred to her that all of her potential boyfriends flew the coop because of her family, and not her.

I was always an Addams Family person, even though I do like the Munsters. I loved it when they both had marathons on 2 different channels last Halloween.

I was always more of a Munsters guy.... I think it has something to do with the lineage of the Universal Monsters vibe they give off...with a 60s slant to it. Plus the Munsters' theme song is more rockin' than the Addams' in a surfer-garage band way, even without lyrics.
