This sounds great...The Haunted Mansion is my favorite Disney ride. After the disappointing Murphy film...well, I'd figured they might give up on pursuing HM as a franchise 'ala Pirates. too much Eddie being full of himself, too little Ghosts of the Mansion. No caretaker, no hitchhikers, no doom buggies, 999 happy ghosts to choose from and they add zombies? Meh.
Although I did like Jennifer Tilly as Madame Leota.
HM has probably the most backstory as far as characters go than any other Disney ride, more even than Pirates. Most of all, using the Hat Box Ghost is an inspired choice.
Best of all, can you imagine the TOYS they will produce for this? Wow, Madame Leota playset, Hat Box 12", Doom Buggy vehicles, Hitchhiker action figures, that creepy little ghost that says "Hurry Back...Hurry Back!"
