Glad to hear you liked Trick 'r Treat. I'm a Halloween fanatic, and I've lost count of how many times I've watched that movie. It's a shame that WB kept it sitting on the shelf for so many years and never gave it the proper theatrical release that it deserved. Another fantastic film that takes place during the Halloween season is The Lady In White. Check it out, you won't be disappointed. You've probably already seen this, but Seepy Hollow is another great Halloween flick.

The kids always liked Halloweentown, Halloweentown II, and Halloweentown High. Nothing scary, but family-oriented fun. And of course all in the theme of the season.

I thought "Sleepy Hollow" with Johnny Depp was pretty decent.

Not movies but the Rosanne Halloween episodes were always great as well as the Simpsons!

"Satan's little helper" very creepy slasher flick IMO. Hocus Pocus is also one of the "must watchers" for us around Halloween (and other times of the year too, it's a lot of fun).

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

                          Good made-for-TV movies:

Bad Ronald, Dark Night of the Scarecrow, Gargoyles, The Dark Secret of Harvest Home, Legend of Lizzie Borden and Salem's Lot of course.

The Halloween That Almost Wasn't I love. I remember it when I was a baby. Witch's Night Out is a cartoon often mentioned in the same breath.

Hocus Pocus and Witches are kids films that are fun, but no scary.

I've been watching the Simpson's and Roseann Halloween shows this week.

Monster Squad and Abbott and Costello Meets Frankenstein are also fun and older kid friendly.

Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow is sort of Halloweeny.

Turner Classics is showing horror films on Monday nights this month as a salute to Halloween.

                              Mad Monster Party is fun.

On Netflix, I believe it has the Fat Albert Halloween special on streaming video. I loved it as a kid, but it doesn't quite live up to the memories.

It's not a movie but how bout Charlie Browns The Great Pumpkin. My bad if it was already mentioned.
