Fright Night Film Fest Convention in Louisville next weekend!

John Carpenter IN PERSON! YES!!!!! Check out the link and see the SLEW of celebs coming. Such iconic people I thought I would never meet. And their coming to Louisville! Too cool! Even Henry Winkler! So here's the question - Do I have him sign my Mego box or just have him sign a photo? Tough decision there. I've got an original Halloween poster I'm going to have Carpenter sign. David Naughton from American Werewolf in London will be there too. I think I'll have him sign my Blu Ray. Michael Biehn from the first Terminator will be there; Margot Kidder; the TV Shazam; Linda Blair from Exorcist; EVEN the girl that played "Chrissy" in the iconic opening sequence of Jaws will be there. Just amazing. I'm pinching myself.

by the way I know the Fonz charges like $50
Linda Blair like $30 and you have to pay $10 extra if you want a pic with her but it all goes to her foundation of saving animals

and Michael from T1 charges extra for taking a pic with him as well

I'm still contemplating going to this with MIB next weekend. My only complaint with it is that they have to dilute the show with a bunch of wrestling people (which is not to say wrestlers aren't cool, I just don't know how they kind of got linked into the whole comics-horror-sci-fi genres....)
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

I'll do it as long as she spins her head for me.

And what has he done for the past 25 years? Jeez. This is sounding a little depressing. Will they have an IQ contest for attendees after the show? These guys might be disappointed with my wallet. I expect something for my money.

I know the feeling bro...these people think they're still A listers, when the reality is that if they were they would'nt be in conventions trying to rip off the poor fans....

I still get some if it's a must have for me, but I always ask how much is it before I even get in the line just find the first poor dork you see that just paid for it and ask him

I remember just laughing is the faces of the people who payed $75-$100 for spock and Adam West, and don't get me wrong I would've loved to have met Spock but not for that....I just hate the feeling of being taken advantage of, and If I would've paid that I would've been mad as hell

SO very true. Maybe we can use the Jason costume actor as a spotter. They might has well be working if they're going to get paid.

Yep! Same here. I figure I will sit in line all day just to get Carpenter's autograph. At least that is my fear. From the sounds of my other friends who have met these folks, I may not be getting too many other autos. $40 and $50 is excessive for any event (and I work in a convention every year so I know the price of autos). When you consider the economy we're in right now, it's a down right mugging.
