Evil Dead 4 is actually going to happen.

    Didn't see that coming.

UPDATED: BREAKING EXCLUSIVE: New Evil Dead Film Actually Gearing Up for Production! | Horror Movie, DVD, Book Reviews, News, Interviews at Dread Central
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

He's working on a Wizard of Oz prequel now - and the crazy thing is that there's rumors it's a musical.

Personally I thought "Drag Me To Hell" was Raimi's best movie in years but it didn't do so hot in the box office.

That would be amazing news, there was two endings to the last one, but I presume they would continue with him "ODing" the drops, and ending up in the postapocaliptic future.

Oh well didnt read the above link :(

A remake? I'd rather have ED4 with Campbell and Raimi

Hey, it's only been made twice so far. What's one more time?

It could be finger puppets with subtitles - as long as it's Evil Dead, I'll still watch it!

Let's face it, a proper sequel with Campbell is never going to happen, IMO. The thing we want most, and what shouldn't really be that hard to make, namely getting the whole old crew together and continuing where we left off.

A remake, well, that's not hard at all. They're remaking every movie ever made. I personally intend to remake the remake of Dawn of the Dead, because it's been a couple of years since the last remake, and audiences will be keen to see the newest version.

Sorry, I believe you misunderstood. Raimi's next movie, "Oz: The Great and Powerful", is rumored to be a musical. Which is crazy in a different way to me. Especially since Elfman is rumored to be writing the music.

There IS a live theatre musical version of "Evil Dead" that there's been rumors about being adapted into a movie.

And for the last year or two a straight up "Evil Dead" remake has been rumored.

You really can't go anywhere after Army of Darkness

It would be like trying to make another Star Wars movie after Return of the Jedi
