Whenever we have visitors, and they see all the toys, and they ask "how old are your kids?", I just have to grin sheepishly and explain why a 45 year old guy plays with dolls...

Well, I'm certainly right there with you, GC.

I know about werewolves and silver, but surely a grizzly could decapitate a werewolf with one blow from it's paw. I mean, werewolves are still made of muscle and bone, right? Do we have any monster biologists here on the boards to help us out with a ruling on this? Where's Wayne Barlowe when you need him?

That's a tricky one. Werewolves are said to be immune to damage from non-silver weapons.... but what exactly does that mean? It's possible (if we adhere to this notion) that a bear swipe wouldn't be able to damage the werewolf at all, (but could knock him around) or would inflict damage that healed extremely rapidly and had no tangible effect, or would take the head right off which wouldn't affect the werewolf. (Maybe 'cos it could be put back on, or would slink back together a-la "Monster Squad," or would eventually heal.)

What if the bear ate the werewolf?
            Would it turn werewolf also?

Are you guys aware that the Wolf Man was actually going to wrestle a bear in the 1941 film?

Those scenes were filmed (there are photos of it left), but they felt it was too violent. Animal cruelty was no problem in those days...
