I seem to remember commercials for this when I was a kid but I have never seen it. Also I get it mixed up with that KISS meets the phantom or something (which I also have never seen).

Bums me out to the see the Paradise theatre closed like that, I used to live two blocks away from it in my twenties.

          Same here.

Borrowed my sister's DVD of it and I watched it once and that was enough. I don't think it's a bad movie. But for whatever reason it just doesn't work for me. Same with Rocky Horror. I know a lot of people dig it but I could never get into it.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Hell's yeah! Thanks for starting this thread, Palitoy.

I'm a HUGE fan of this movie. So many things to like--the performances, the songs, the over-the-top fun, Paul Williams, Gerrit Graham and especially Jessica Harper.

A really fun blend of horror, camp, music and Brian De Palma directs it all with verve, vigor and lots of winks and nods to classic films.

            Let's keep the discussion going!!

Yeah - that's basically it for me too. Usually this kind of thing is right up my alley - but this one left me a little exhausted. Like listening to a long joke that wasn't getting to the punchline.

I like "Rocky" because I find it funny - watching "Phantom" I felt that someone must find it funny - just not me.

Anyway - maybe I should check it out again. Maybe it was just a mood I was in that day.

ALWAYS wanted that helmet, still do.
I would wear it too! When i ride my Bicycle.

Yes I WANT To be a sore thumb sticking out when I ride , I'm trying not to get run over by distracted drivers.
