I have these, but unopened. I thought the Drac head was the same as the Aurora & earlier reissues...
Has it been resculpted, or merely resized?

^Yeah, the new Drac head looks out of proportion there (it's the same pic on the box) but in person it seems much more in scale to the body.
I didn't know they made the Creature till Brian mentioned it. Now we have two monsters to look forward to!
Anyone notice how they use Karloff's image for Frankenstein, but his estate isn't mentioned like Chaney Jr.'s? And that line drawing of Dracula sticks out like a sore thumb, huh?

I think MPC/Revell just has the rights to Drac, Frankie, Wolfman and the Mummy. Those were the only 4 out in this reissue, and are the only ones I recall from their reissues over the years. We missed out on the Wolfman (oddly enough, my sons' favorite Universal Monster) but hopefully we'll find him at some point.
There are a few K-Marts here that carry model kits, and some that don't. It's very random and doesn't seem to make any sense.

Any where else other then KY have K marts selling models. Just curious what parts of the country are involved. Do they have the Creature from the Black Lagoon?Leave a comment:

I don't think the Kmart close to me ever carried models. At least I've never seen them there. But great score Chris.Leave a comment:

I was at a nearby K-Mart yesterday, and lucked into a pretty sweet deal: The MPC Dracula kit for $7.20! I previously picked up The Mummy and Frankenstein for $13, and I thought that was a pretty decent deal, but left Drac, because his new headsculpt seemed to be no improvement over the tried and true Lugosi one.
But for $7.20, it was worth it. I got it home and opened it, and the new head isn't nearly as bad as the box makes it look. It's actually in scale to the body, and there is still some Bela in there.
Now I have another project to work on with the boy on a cold winter's day.
