Sounds societally enriching! Note to latent serial killers and disturbed teenage boys - take your note pads to the theatres with you!

What happened to the Hammer films and the BOO! scares?? Sorry to sound like a school marm or a right-wing nut, but come on, doesnt some of this crap go a BIT too FAR? I have younger buddies that watch a lot of this trash, and even they are repulsed by some of the more recent offerings. I'm a 'horror' film fan myself and I love a good shock/scare, but Jesus, some of these 'films' depicting graphic torture, necrophilia, animal abuse, rape, pedophilia....WAY over the top. All of these horrible things have always EXISTED in cinema, but were typically (and tactfully) only HINTED at, until recently that is...

And again, I'm NO supporter of censorship, and I know that as far as kids and young adults are concerned that its the "parents job to monitor them", but we all know that doesnt always happen, and if you think that little Johnny who lives on a farm in rural Kansas and has an abusive father and a horribly negative home life DOESNT take potential influence from these vile films, your kidding yourselves...

    Deadgirl

If you think The Human Centipede was shocking...check out Deadgirl...

After skipping school and breaking into the boiler room of a deserted mental hospital, buddies Rickie (Shiloh Fernandez) and JT (Noah Segan) make a shocking discovery: the plastic-covered naked body of a woman lying on a gurney. When they realize that the woman may be alive, JT shocks Rickie by suggesting they take advantage of her. But all is not as it seems in this dark thriller: The door to the boiler room had been rusted shut for years.

Disturbing, disgusting...certainly not for everyone...but as far as shocking horror films go...this one works in spades.

    It's on Netflix stream...
