Ah, The Abominable Dr. Phibes-- I could watch it once a week and never tire of it!

(I'm weird I guess, because I find it hilarious. Great production design, too.)

Sssss and Laserblast are fun as well.

What about Track of the Moon Beast? He's a were-komodo!

A little trivia ... I think the guy who plays the doctor was Clayton Moore's replacement in The Lone Ranger.

the boogens has never had any official dvd release. Note that the VHS tape you want is the one from Paramount (mid 90's). Also take note the film has been shown on some HD networks in an OVER MATTED fake widescreen format. Boots of that airing on dvd abound as well

here is a compare pic (matted on top and vhs on bottom) and you can see what I mean by it being over matted. Film looks like it should have had a 1:66 or 1:78 ratio not 1:85 as presented here

You're not alone. Up there in my list of only 4-5 films I can have on TV in the background at any time. And Phibes Rises Again is in that same list. And to top it off, the organ rendition of War March of The Priests from the opening is my ringtone
