    Lost Girl

Any other good Canadians watching this series? I'm watching it whether I like it or not, it's kinda Xena meets Buffy with more sex and swearing.

I don't mind it, it fell into formula a little too quickly for my tastes and while I find the secret society of the Fae interesting, I also find it very familiar. Sure it's not vampires and werewolves but essentially she's a sex vampire and he's a werewolf.

But my goodness what an attractive cast.

While I agree with that theory, the main viewer in the house is my wife, who appears fond of the story. Although she tells me that Mr "I need a shave" isn't half bad.

I have the remote at our house long enough to turn on the TV, I've been told I surf the stations to fast don't wait for a show to get good or never turn pack in time when the commericial is over.I have truely become just a viewer when the wife and I watch TV together.I have abused the power of the remote and now suffer the affects of it now, please have pity for me.

                Hmmmm....

I tried to watch; but yeah, the whole "secret society of monsters/entities/wizards/whatever" thing is kinda played. (I think the current term for that is "urban horror.")

A combo of Xena AND Buffy, eh? Ughh...to ME, thats the same as saying "Here- try this sandwich - it contains feces AND vomit!"

My wife has ALL of those Buffy DVD sets...good god what an awful show, I cant believe that dragged on as long as it did! My wife tells me that I just dont "get it" because I'm not "a woman or a middle-aged gay guy"...

I'm not a woman or a middle aged gay guy I am 38 though and I loved the show.
I've got all the dvd's as well as Angel and Firefly.
Joss Whedon is just a great story teller.
While Angel in my opinion was the better show by far Buffy was still great.

                      Rock on man!

Yeah, my wife loves all of that stuff as well...I dont agree a stitch though about Joss being a 'great storyteller', nope, to me he is another Singer or Emmerich - their seeming lack of true life experiences and grasp of realistic human behaviours is evident in their work. Glitz, gloss, and very little, if any, substance.

Glad you enjoy though, many folks eat this stuff up with a spoon for sure - my wife frequents several websites DEDICATED to Joss and his material - there are many - so some folks obviously love it!

                      Take care -

                        Hmmmm....

I didn't care for Buffy so much either; if it's any consolation. WAY too many throwaways for me, the gonzo wasn't gonzo enough, and I wanted to smack the entire cast.

That's kind'a harsh dude. Both shows had positives and negatives but over-all weren't that bad. If they were they wouldn't have lasted 7 or 8 seasons.

Maybe harsh, yes...but they suck in my opinion sir!

As far as the show(s) going on for so many seasons, that means zip to me - look at what 'Independence Day' and 'Godzilla U.S.' and countless others earned at the box office - and they all bit the witch's teats!

Remember also: MANY television programs and sitcoms 'dragged onnnnnnnnnn' WAY longer than they should have - is that a sign of 'quality'?

Its all good though - great programs like All in the Family had spin-offs' as well - but most of those were WELL-written.

On a side note - I bet if Mike Bay and Joss got hitched, this program might be their love child: (You'd just need to add some CG monsters/aliens/cyborgs, and something to do with saving the earth....)

OK OK....sorry! Enough is too much already!!

Whooops - forgot to mention - its not for the kiddies or the easily offended!
