Imhotep or Kharis? Which Mummy do you prefer?

Personally, while I think the 1932 film is a classic, I prefer the Kharis movies. They're just kind of fun and have lots of lumbering Mummy action. I think in terms of pop culture, Kharis is the more recognizable Mummy.

I had forgotten how little screen time Karloff has as the actually mummified Imhotep. It's somewhat disappointing. But his makeup was outstanding!!!

I haven't seen the Kharis movies in years, so I don't want to judge one over the other.

I would have to go with the Karloff Imhotep.
The squinky eye Kharis doesn't always work for me.

Imhotep was a much more interesting and deep character. In comparison Kharis just kind of shuffled along.

I prefer Imhotep--weird how a Dracula "re-make" is actually a better film.

I actually prefer Kharis. He gives more Mummy "bang for your buck". The Karloff Mummy is fantastic, and brilliantly acted, just not enough of it in the movie for me.
