What did you watch on Halloween?

I always watch "Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein" when I hand out treats. My wife and I checked out "Walking Dead" after.

Such a fun movie. I've actually been re-watching most of the old Universal classics all month long. Finished up with "Invisible Man" this weekend.

I finally go the Frankenstein Legacy set, so it's been all-Frankie, all Halloween season. We finished up this weekend with Son and Ghost of Frankenstein, and had one last Halloween Hurrah with Monster Squad.

We watched A&C Meet Frankie last week while carving Pumpkins! The kids kicked it off in the last weekend in September with Mad Monster Party?

Can I give a list of what I didn't watch? Might be shorter as it wasn't specified to list what we watched on just Halloween day, or Halloween weekend. So here is my list from the actual day we had trick or treat in our area until yesterday.

          1-Halloween
          2-Halloween II
          3-The Night Stalker
          4-The Night Strangler
          5-Trick R Treat
          6-Alien
          7-Aliens
          8-The Funhouse
          9-The Fog
          10-Just Before Dawn

We stayed up and watched the "Walking Dead" premiere on AMC last night. It looks promising.

This past week, I made my girls watch the three Creature From the Black Lagoon movies.

Our family also enjoyed the "Frankenstein Legacy Collection". Is there a finer classic horror movie than "The Bride of Frankenstein" ? I think not...

The Mrs. and I enjoyed "28 days later" after the kids went to bed.

It's definitely the apex of the Universal movies. Just a great film. The original Frankenstein is only slightly behind it. I'd put The Wolfman as the next best in the Universal canon. After that, they got kind of schlocky. Still lots of fun, but low on anything but a visceral viewing.

I watched an 80s movie called "Maniac" directed by the guy who directed "Maniac Cop" and starring Joe Spinell.

I found this video tape in a box on the sidewalk a few weeks ago. People are such fools!

The Halloween episode of Community that spoofed the zombie genre. Wish I had done it back to back with the first episode of Walking Dead.

Usually I gather a stack of favorite movies from my DVD library to watch, but this year I mostly scoured TCM for horror films that I've never seen before. After years of hearing about them, I finally managed to see "Plague of the Zombies", "The Other", "Curse of the Demon", and "The Mad Magician". I also dug through my stack of unwatched DVDs and plucked out some genre films to view, including "The Shining", "Carrie", and "The Munsters' Scary Little Christmas". The Munsters movie was kinda lame, but it does have cameos by several of the classic Universal Monsters.

                              Addams Family marathon.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
