Star Trek, GI Joe, Ghostbusters... Zombies

It appears Zombies are to now what "babies" were in the eighties.

IDW is coming out with a Zombified offshoot of their licensed comic books including GI Joe, Star Trek and Ghostbusters.

I'm sure if Transformers could logically be zombified, they'd be all over that as well.

Of course they have lost the one license that would make sense to get zombified... Angel. That would be one way of getting the entire cast of characters out of Hell finally.

Well,G.I. Joe had zombies back in the 90s with their Eco-Force line. And wasn't there a zombie in the Ghostbusters line in the 80s?

I'm assuming that the Ghostbusters and GI Joe members themselves were not zombiefied?

IDW has lost the angel license?
Hmmm...Is it going to darkhorse now like Buffy?

I get star trek so I'm sure I'll get the Zombie Trek...I imagine all the zombies will be red shirts seeking revenge on kirk...LOL

Angel is going back to Darkhorse and will be again under Joss Whedon's creative direction, which apparently Angel hasn't been since the initial notes for After the Fall (which suffered from terrible art from a storytelling perspective IMHO).

With the success of Buffy Season 8, I understand there is a big push for a small line of Buffyverse titles under the Buffy Season 9 banner. Not sure how Angel will fit into that, but I way behind on Season 8, although I do know that there was a big reveal involving Angel and Twilight, the big bad for S8.

I'm kind of hoping they can still use the Fish character from the IDW series. He seems the perfect character to team with Andrew.

I was wrong. It appears the Transformers are getting drawn into this, and the Zombies in question originate from Ashley Wood's Zombies vs Robots (vs Amazons) universe, which means robots can get infected.

I was checking out my brother's collection of Ashley Wood figures this morning and they are pretty cool designs.

I think it's a little late to jump on the zombie bandwagon....Marvel beat that to death IMO....
