Laugh Tracks ? Why not SCREAM tracks ?

I admit as a Kid I had a hard time with british comedy that DIDNT have a laugh track.

Traditionally Horro films have cool gimmicks. ( The Tingler) etc.

But why don't we have scream tracks?

Not a bad idea, but scream tracks would interfere with dialog more than laugh tracks

Laughter tracks should be banned as they are an insult to the viewer so scream tracks are a definate no no.
