Couldn't agree more. Van Helsing has to be one of the greatest misfires in recent memory. It should have been a great romp, but it's just a mess. Not even Kate Beckinsale could save it.

Boy, did you hit the nail on the head with that. This movie is just too terrible to like. I have always been a sucker for any team up things, whether in comics or the movies, but this movie, with its' terrible CG and leaden pace, is just atrocious.Leave a comment:

I thought the Van Helsing Dracula looked like some sort of washed up German techno band member. That movie frustrated the hell out of me because I should have loved a big cartoony monster mash.Leave a comment:

^yes, having a decent dracula in that movie could have improved it 25%. Roxbury exuded no sense of class, something Drac should always have...Leave a comment:

I have to hand it to Van Helsing's Dracula. He came across as being goofy and was far too over the top. Then again that summarizes the entire movie really.Leave a comment:

Honestly, I rather like the very specific takes on Dracula by Kier & Hamilton. In each film's context, they are interesting perfomances...Leave a comment:

I always dug Morgan Freeman's Dracula spoof on The Electric Company....in fact the skits with him, the Wolfman and Frankenstein's Monster were some of my favorite spoofs.Leave a comment:

There were a couple of Superboy episodes - "Young Dracula" and "Run Dracula Run" - that featured a dhampir or half-vampire named Byron Shelley but I can't find a connection to Dracula The Series .Leave a comment:

Am I nuts, or did that kind of sort of spin off of the Superboy TV series? I remember Superboy fighting Dracula, and then they started advertising that awful Drac series. They missed Dracula:The Series from 1991. This Drac was so lame he couldn't off 2 annoying kids and an old man in the run of the show. Good thing Mia Kirshner (later of 24) was on hand to sucker in viewers.

Hmmmm....
Funny how all PRE-90's Dracula movie Dracs wear tuxedos and have widow's peaks, and all POST 90's Dracula movie Dracs have long hair and bath robes. (Except in the 80's Chill RPG where he was Geraldo Rivera.)

No Count Spankula from Codename:Kids Next Door? Come on,the guy's suppose to be Dracula but instead of sucking people's blood,he spanks kids. That's just so wrong on so many levels.Leave a comment:

I'm surprised that Zandor Vorkov (aka Roger Engel)'s Dracula from Dracula Vs. Frankenstein didn't make the cut.
But truth be told, I thought Roger brought a lot of campy gusto to his Dracula, even if he looked like Frank Zappa wearing Dracula teeth.
