Moebius Models to reissue Vampirella Monster Scenes kit

Neat! I didn't think this kit would ever get reissued. Should be out by Halloween this year. Plus the Pain Parlor and Gruesome Goodies.

Looking forward to it! I actually only just got around to picking up the Clayburn Moore Vampi figures for cheap.

Mego-style Vampi would be off the hook.

Also, Moebius will be producing an all new Elvira kit.
It hasn't been officially announced yet, but it has been mentioned several times.
No word on pose or anything yet, but it is supposed to be 1/8 scale.

So that lab is a little too big for Megos then?

I wish Moebius would reissue the Pirates of the Caribbean sets. I know licensing with Disney is tricky and all, but seriously... they were really generic skeleton pirate kits. Just call them something like "Pirates of the 7 Seas" or something.

I mean, the Barnabas Vampire van was reissued by MPC as just the "Vampire Van" complete with the little Barnabas to avoid dealing with the whole Dark Shadows license issue.

Thanks for posting this, Werewolf. I often wonder why Megoheads don't raid the model shelf more. (Or maybe they do, and it just doesn't get shown or mentioned on the boards much?) The Monster Scenes are too small, but the more common "Aurora scale" is pretty close to Mego when it comes to accessorizing, and anyone who needs some Mego-scale bottles and beekers should check out the Invisible Man kit. They also make some cool dioramas (Mummy and Frankenstein) that could be used with Mego, though I haven't gotten them yet and don't know if they scale well. I know they're in the ballpark. (Anyone tried?) If they work, they'd go great with Diamond's more movie-accurate figs. Monarch also makes really cool models. They're worth buying just for the retro painted boxes.

But the one I'm looking forward to the most is the "Broadway Bela" Dracula from Moebius. Check out that base!

It's a good time to be a monster fan.

                        It's really not that hard.

Figuring for a 6 foot tall character

                        1/12 (monster scenes) = 6" tall.
                        1/10 = just over 7" tall
                        1/8 = 9" tall
                        1/6 = 12" tall
                        1/4 = 18" tall

To figure it out, all you have to remember is 1" on the toy = x" on the actual object.
If you know how big the original is, you can figure out the size of the toy.

That's what I thought. I read these were supposed to be 1/8 scale, so that's 9" inch. Megos are 8" , but then I read these are too small for Megos. Most confusing

The Monster Scenes kits are 1/12 scale.
The upcoming Elvira kit is supposed to be 1/8 scale.
Probably where the confusion came in.

(when Frank originally let slip about the Elvira kit, it was supposed to be 1/12 to go with the Monster Scenes, Movies of the Monsters lines. But recently he said it is now going to be 1/8. Things are still in a state of flux as they get everything worked out. Hence the fact that there is no official announcement yet. Just what the owner of the company has mentioned on another online modeling forum)
