The CGI I could live with (but I prefer a suit), but he still looks too reimagined, too modern

No matter what they do they can never make Godzilla look scarier than in the first movie (King of Monsters)

I'd rather have a guy in a suit...it's the actor inside that gives Godzilla his charm.

I think I started to dislike Godzilla because he has too much backstory.

He was better when he was just a giant monster wrecking Japan for no apparent reason.

This premise worked great in King of Monsters, King Kong vs Godzilla and Godzilla 1985.

All other of his movies really don't appeal to me.

Cool! Wonder if they'll have him fighting other kaiju?
Hopefully they've got the license for some of the other Toho monsters, too.

I still say Devlin and Emmerich should be made to suffer for what they did in 1998.

I agree all copies of that movie should be destroyed I would love to see a new godzilla picture and I think they should go the whole hog and have new york flattned by a scrap between to huge toho monsters, or better yet godzilla V mecha godzilla

they should go the traditional route and have a guy in a suit and then overlay it with CGI to give that more modern look.the concept art looks great and looks like they are having their script based on the 1954 original story step in the right direction probably be 2 years before we see in the theaters

He looks pretty good, but that's just artwork so it's hard to say.

That said, the artwork definitely seems to be channeling the Dark Horse comics Godzilla. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
