I picked up the Val Lewton boxed set and the "Night Stalker/Night Strangler" double DVD this week. The Lewton set has gone down to $25.00 on Amazon vs. the original price of $45.00. I watched "The Night Stalker" tonight. I've probably seen all of the series episodes many times but I hate to admit I'd never seen the original movies that kicked off the series. It was a cool trip back to 1971

^^ Never understood why those two movies weren't included with the Kolchak box set.You must try to generate happiness within yourself. If you aren't happy in one place, chances are you won't be happy anyplace. -Ernie BanksComment

Wal-Mart is changing their DVD selection this week. They have a large endcap of Disney films, and buried in the assortment are copies of "Something Wicked This Way Comes" and "The Black Hole". They also have "Fahrenheit 451".
Last week I stumbled across a copy of the restored original version of "The Little Shop of Horrors" at Big Lots for $3.00. This version includes a commentary track by Mike Nelson of MST3K and Rifftrax.

The one with the figure is the 20th Anniversary set, special edition. (There's a regular edition without the figure or tin box.) It's technically box 13. Box 14 came out last week.

Just picked up "My name is Bruce."
The movie with Bruce Campbell in it.
It was freaking hilarious!!!“When you say “It’s hard”, it actually means “I’m not strong enough to fight for it”. Stop saying its hard. Think positive!”Comment
