    Sharktopus!

I want to work at the "Syfy" channel because obviously they reward mediocrity and you get to work while drunk.

As a major fan of the B grade, I had to look. My son peeked over my shoulder.
His review -- "I liked it."

    I did too.

And somewhere in Hollywood, Julia Roberts is on the phone with her parents... expressing her desire to be an only child.

The entire industry rewards mediocrity... In Hollywood, you fail upwards. LOL

You know, I absolutely adore budget cinema but I sometimes can't get over the hump of "intentionally B" films. I think the best B cinema is the stuff that's really trying to be better. It's like drinking kool aid made by a little kid, not quite there but good for the story.

My wife however, thinks SyFy movies rule.

I think Syfy should combine the CGI monster and the washed up actor.

Nothing from Syfy surprises me anymore
But as a fan of Roger Cormans B-movies, such as the Vincent Price Edgar Allan Poe movies, I'm kinda saddened to see him involved in something this ridiculous

You should have seen the first design of the sharktapus. He had a big shark body and a big flabby head.....

I laughed out loud at the shark raised up on tentacles. And maybe the heat is getting to me, but I dig the song used in the trailer. Hope they use it when this is aired.

I think you've hit on an excellent analogy there.

Bad movies that tried hard are always more entertaining. When the people who make the film think the fact that it sucks is a selling point - I usually avoid. Besides, it's basically just a cop out.

Having said that, I do love Roger Corman.
