    Cloverfield-2008

I would normally never post on such a new film cause the last 5 to 10 years I havent liked very many .I just finished watching this .The first 20 minutes sucked but the scene where they are looting and the looters pause and are mesmarized by the breaking news coverage of the creature is priceless.I ended up really liking this movie from that point on even the shakey hand video taping but I believe it was 35mm film not HDvideo thats why its not bad on the eyes like Blair Witch project, very good Effort by Director Matt Reeves and J.J. Abrams

I loved this movie. The POV concept was really original. Not knowing anything is what really made the movie scary.

I really liked this film. I was all into the hype and viral marketing before it came out looking for any clues to what the monster would look like. I was eventually disappointed by the final design, but the movie was well done. I would have preferred a more traditional monster for this movie, even that cool whale-like design that popped up a few months before the film's released. I'm kinda curious about a sequel and the rumors that this was an infant and that momma is looking for it.

If it wasn't filmed with the shakey POV camera, I would have liked it a lot.

As it is, I can't sit through it without getting a major headache.

The "found footage" aspect can get a little annoying.

But the glimpses we get of the monster wrecking NYC are awesome.

Also liked the news reports from the marketing campaign, like the oil rig being attacked.

I thought it was a great modernizing of the Godzilla concept, and fantastic use of the youtube-esque cinematography. A great modern monster film.

I watched this for the first time just the other day and thought it was really well made. The first 20 minutes at the party could do with some major editing but after that i really enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed this as well. I really liked how it was done. I just hope we don't actually see a sequel , just leave it be.
