I agree wholeheartedly. EVERY TIME I see this movie on DVD I want to buy it. Then I think about the surfer boy in it, and I back off. A complete miscast in that role. Darn shame too, because the rest of the cast (especially Gary Oldman) is quite good. But Keeneau plays too big a part and I grit my teeth anytime I see him. I just say to myself, "What were they thinking?"It's the same way I think about Robert De Niro in the Frankenstein remake. Now De Niro is an awesome actor (unlike Keeneau), but the Frankenstein monster? I was waiting for him to get up from the table and say, "You talkin' to me?"

Hmmmm....
I didn't care for the 90's Dracula at all; but Reeves stood out. When he jumped off the castle wall a friend leaned over and said "woah! This is a totally deep hole!" And that was that.

HAW! Yeah. I thought his take on the monster was unique, and really weird (and I LIKE weird) but there was too much De Nero in it.

I've never seen that version of Frankenstein, because I was afraid of the same thing. But after seeing him in "Jackie Brown," it does lead me to think he has more range that I'd previously assumed.Hey! Where's the waiter with the water for my daughter?

Great topic. How about anyone that was in "The Ring:2"? The first one was very scary, but the second one was laughable bad.
I can agree with Gingerdead Man as well - we rented that for our semi-annual "Bad Movie Night."
Then again, I've watched so many awful horror movies that I have trouble picking just one. My memory has compacted them into one giant ball of badness.Hey! Where's the waiter with the water for my daughter?
